Making Memories

The sun was shining.  The sky was blue.  The water smooth as glass.

It was a perfect day for making memories.



Memories of deserted islands in the middle of the ocean.



Of casting the line and waiting impatiently for that little tug on the other end.



Of gathering shells cast by the thousands onto a sandy beach.



of laughing with family.



And long walks along the shore.



Memories of time spent with Grammy



And sand squishing between little toes.



Of playing in the cool Gulf water,

and not minding it one little bit.



It surely was a perfect day for making memories.
