This afternoon the rain ceased and the clouds parted - for about 30 minutes. I took advantage of the break in the weather, dropped my paint brush, grabbed my camera and scurried outdoors to try out my new lens. Brown had delivered the little sweetheart just an hour earlier and I was anxious to take her for a spin.
The new addition to my camera bag is a Nikon 70-200mm, f2.8 lens. The very one I have been coveting for the past two years. I had high hopes of having her in time for the Nashville wedding but that little tsunami in Japan a couple of months ago slowed down production in Nikon's factory.
My time in the field this afternoon was short but I got a taste of what this little beauty has to offer. I'm hoping that with a lot of practice and vision I'll be able to produce some very pleasing images with my new lens.
